Prerequisites

Merchant Account with Paytm

You must have a merchant account on Paytm’s Merchant Dashboard. If you are a new merchant and want to create your account, follow these steps:

  1. Create your account on the Merchant Dashboard. Once you login you can see the following screen
     NOTE

     

    You can try out the Test Mode option.

Generate Your API Keys with Paytm

To generate the API Key,

  1. Log into your Dashboard.
  2. Select the API Keys under Developers on the left menubar. 
  3. Select the mode for which you want to generate the API Key from the menu.
  4. Click Generate now to generate a key for the test mode. 
  5. Note down the Test Merchant ID and Merchant Key.

 

 NOTE

 

Production MID is generated by Paytm after successful verification and activation of your account. It can be fetched from the same dashboard. When you are ready to go live, activate your account in the dashboard to get production account credentials.
